UFC is one of the most violent sports in the world and at the center of all the infamy is Conor McGregor. McGregor embodies everything about the UFC and its violence and unpredictability when he threw a dolly at his opponent while sitting on a bus. With his recent actions, his future is now cloudy with a mystery about his future.

The UFC star has 21 wins over his 10-year career during which he has headlined three UFC events. He also had a boxing match against arguably one of the best boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather last August where he made 100 million dollars even though he lost. McGregor has always been known to have a fiery and emotional demeanor, especially when it comes to his opponents. “I always heard that he had a fiery personality, but for him to throw a dolly at the bus seems pretty crazy and unnecessary,” stated Arianna Montesinos, sophomore. That is why when Conor McGregor lost his composure at UFC , 223 people were not shocked to find out that he had a breakdown against one of his opponents.

Conor McGregor was set to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 and was going to have their media day to create hype around the fight, but the day ended up as infamy for McGregor. He was caught throwing a dolly at his opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov’s bus,  who was involved in an altercation with his teammate Artem Lobov a few days earlier. It was not only Conor McGregor who was angry at Nurmagomedov, but his entire entourage was also involved in the attack of his bus.

For his crimes, Conor McGregor turned himself into NYPD on April 5 where he was charged with three counts of assault and was stripped of his two UFC championships. He was out of jail by April 6 because he paid a $50,000 bail. His next court date is June 14, where he will have an opportunity to explain his actions and clear his name.

Conor McGregor was not sorry for his actions but felt that it had to be done. He and his entourage were able to storm the bus that Nurmagomedov was on because he had help from the inside and flew people in from Ireland to do the deed. That is how Conor McGregor embodies the UFC and all the infamy that comes with it.
