He said, “I do”
During spring break, Middle College’s own chemistry teacher, Mr. You, tied the knot with his fiancee. After rigorous examination of two candidates – his now wife and Selena Gomez, his dog – Mr.You chose his fiancee. Several teachers from Middle College High School were invited to attend the beautiful ceremony that took place at “The Estate on Second” here in downtown Santa Ana. There were several festivities that took place, including a doughnut wall. Unfortunately, the world loses another single man.
Mr.You’s best man was none other than his brother. Additionally, the ceremony was very entertaining, according to accounts of guests who attended. Particularly, they mentioned that the officiant was like Mr.You, bringing energy to the wedding. The wedding was crashed during the “first look” by none other than Channing Tatum who surprised the guests. In addition, guests were further shocked to learn that both Mr.You and his fiancee had written on their arm to marry one another at 4:00 p.m.
You can always see Mr. You walking around with something written on his arm. He explained, “It’s because I’m always paranoid I’m going to forget…I have a to do list notebook, but when it’s really important it goes on my arm. Even though sometimes even when I put it on my phone I sometimes don’t see it. Writing on my arm with a Sharpie makes sure I never forget.”
After the ceremony, Mr.You presented a speech as to why he specifically chose a venue in downtown Santa Ana. He explained that many people are quick to judge Santa Ana and say it is a horrible place, and yet those very same people never visit. He wanted people to see how Santa Ana truly is so people could see what the city has to offer. He encouraged people to walk around after the wedding. As a matter of fact, the after party was in Santa Ana.
The dinner after the wedding included chicken lasagna and salad. The dessert included cake, coffee, and a variety of donuts. There were several games played during the dinner, including a trivia game about the newlywed couple. Questions included, “What university did Micah (Mr.You) attend?” and “What is the name of the clubs Micah advises?” Interestingly enough, Mr.You’s wife was part of a dance team while in college. Her dance team actually surprised the guests by performing during the dinner.
During the dinner, the family of Mr. You was able to interact with his coworkers as well as his friends. It was an opportunity for teachers to spend time together outside of school and be regular human beings. In addition, they were able to meet people who knew Mr.You at different points of his life.
Mr.Ramos commented, “It was nice as a staff to be there and support him. The MCHS family was there to support him. It was cool for his family to meet his coworkers.”
As unfortunate as it is that the world loses another single man, Mr.You is now married. From the Spellbinder Staff and Middle College High School, “Congratulations Mr.You! We wish you the best in your marriage.”
