Mr. Voight: Exposed
For the 2017 school year, a new arrival has been added to the MCHS family. Damon John Voight was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to California when he was 10 years old. Throughout his educational career, he attended Laguna Hills High School, Northern Arizona for his undergrad and Cal Poly Pomona for his masters in Elementary/Special Education. He decided to major in Elementary/Special Education because he wanted to facilitate the journey for students who had a difficult time achieving average grades, like he did. After he finished his masters, he administered at McFadden, Willard, Century, and Godinez as an Assistant Principal and now he is a Principal at Middle College. Outside of school, Damon Voight is a husband and father of two children, ages five and seven. During his free time, he enjoys playing with his two sons and remodeling his house. He has a big love for sports, as he has played football, baseball, tennis, soccer, and basketball. One interesting fact about our new principal is he has had thirteen operations throughout his life.
