Satanism and its truth
SATAN! I’m almost certain many of you who are reading this either skimmed the word or didn’t even bother reading it. Just by seeing his name fear strikes you and unease begins to fill every inch of your body and soul. Satan is seen to be the bad entity in the Catholic and Christian religion (I cannot speak for any other religions). People believe he is the root of all evil and his teachings will cause you to do harm to others, but what if I were to tell you it was all a lie.
That’s right, all that talk about Satanists being bad and evil people is not the truth. Satanists are just humanitarian. They consider themselves Satanists because Satan believed that one should not be restrained and should become what one wants to be. He believed that one should act with compassion and empathy to ALL creatures of course with reason. Meaning if they deserve it they should receive it.
Satanism, specifically The Satanic Temples Satanism, has seven tenets (which can be considered the ten commandments of Satanism). Some of the more notable ones are tenets three, five, and six. Tenet three states that “one’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.” This means that everyone has their rights to their own body and no one can tell them otherwise. This tenet actually helped Satanists fight against Texas’ abortion ban in 2021.
Tenet five states “Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.” This means that one must not bend scientific facts just so that those facts can fit their beliefs. The belief that fact must stay factual and cannot be altered for one’s beneficial needs.
Tenet six states, “People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.” This is pretty self explanatory, it is okay to make mistakes as long as you try to fix and resolve all harm that may have been caused. Tenet six goes along well with the first tenet which is, “One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.”
Like I mentioned before there are seven tenets in total and I only listed four so if you wish to learn more about the tenets visit the TST website. All tenets have to do with being humanitarian, that’s all Satanists are.
Another huge misconception people have about Satanists is that they worship the devil. Well guess what, they don’t. Satanists don’t worship a physical being. The only being that is correlated with Satanism is Baphomet, which is what people think is the devil. Baphomet is not the devil and has no correlation with him. Although Baphomet does look like how the devil is described, that is not what Baphomet represents. The goat head represents worth, intelligence, honesty, and more. The five points on the pentagram mean water, wind, earth, air, and self or spirit (if you believe in that). When the pentagram is placed on the forehead it means mind dominance over these five elements. Baphomet has male and female attributes to symbolize gender equality. Baphomet is usually depicted doing a hand gesture where their right hand has the index and middle finger pointing up and the left hand index and middle finger pointing down. This symbolizes “as above so below,” which means that the construct of our reality is interconnected with all.
Senior Jesus Garibay was asked if he had ever heard of TST.
“No, I have never heard of The Satanic Temple,” he said. Then I asked him what do you think they do or what they represent and his response was, “I would assume it has something to do with Satan and would assume that they worship him.”
This is exactly what I am talking about. People don’t understand that this form of belief where you are kind to all and live your life as you please.
I have to say that this is one way I would like to live my life.
I have exceeded human body limits, I’m an artist, and I’ve been gaming since I was a kid.
