GUADALUPE BRITO: Hey Wizards, welcome back to another podcast. Today we’ll be giving you all some Valentine’s Day craft and ideas to do with your friends, someone special, or by yourself!
BRITO: Once again, we will be guiding you step by step. I’m Guadalupe, and in the background, Jocelyn is preparing the paper for one of the crafts.
JOCELYN DIAZ: Hi guys, I’m Jocelyn! First, we’ll be making a 3d pop-up card like the picture on the screen. After, we’ll do a waterfall card. Both of these cards are easy and simple to make.
BRITO: Let’s get started! First, you’ll need scissors to cut two 8.5 cm by 5.5 cm pieces of paper. You’ll also need a glue stick.
DIAZ: After you have your pieces of paper cut, fold one of them in half. Afterward, you have to draw a heart and cut it out, but leave a little bit uncut.
DIAZ: While we guide you through the crafts, we’ll also be giving you all ideas on what you can do on Valentine’s Day, no matter what your situation might be!
KAROL CABRERA: Starting off, if you’re currently in a new relationship and aren’t sure what to do, I have some ideas for you.
CABRERA: The most important thing, of course, is to have fun. Places you guys can go to could be the park and have a picnic, if you want to have a relaxing date. Or if you want to have more fun you can go to a mini golf course where you can compete against each other.
DIAZ: Now, you can decorate the card. I drew a Spiderman, but you can decorate it however you like.
BRITO: Also, some of you might not know what gifts to get for your significant other. No worries, though, I have suggestions for that too!
DIAZ: Of course, flowers are always a nice gift to receive, no matter the relationship. But another idea can be tickets for another event. Whether that be a concert, zoo, fair, or an aquarium, the idea will not only be a fun experience but promises more time to hang out together.
BRITO: Lastly, you glue on the white paper to the other paper and boom, you’re done with your pop up card.
CABRERA: Moving on, let’s focus on those who are doing Galentines with their friends! Remember, Valentine’s Day is just as special when you’re hanging out with your friends.
CABRERA: There’s lots of places for you all to hang out at. For example, you can go out for brunch, hangout at the beach, or even just staying home, and doing activities together is fun.
BRITO: If you decide to meet up at one of your friend’s houses, then here’s some decoration ideas for you. You can decorate your house with hearts, and red or pink streamers. There’s lots of decor you can buy at any store you go to.
BRITO: We’re going to move on to the waterfall card. Next, you’re going to need five 2 cm by 2 cm papers, and five 2.25 cm by 2.25 cm paper, and then you’re going to need one 2.5 cm by 10 cm paper.
DIAZ: You glue on the smaller paper onto the other and repeat this step for all ten of the papers.
DIAZ: Of course, we can’t forget about the gifts. Here’s a few gift ideas if you don’t know what to give your friends.
CABRERA: You can gift your friends a self-care goodie bag or create gift baskets that contain everything that each of your friends specifically like too! Or if you’re more into crafts you can make them a bouquet of flowers using pipcleaners, there’s a lot of tutorials online for all types of flowers.
DIAZ: Finally, for those who are spending Valentine’s alone, I have some ideas for you too. Remember, showing love for yourself is just as important as showing love for others.
BRITO: Plan a day for yourself, go out to a park or museum. Go to a cafe and grab a drink or plan a one day trip somewhere nearby. The ideas are endless, if you’re into books go to a bookstore or look for a store that sells trinkets.
BRITO: That’s all the advice we have for you guys and we hope that you found it helpful! What about you, Jocelyn? What are you doing for Valentine’s Day?
DIAZ: For Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking of going out with some friends and having a picnic at the park. And, if that doesn’t make it out, I’m probably going to sleep in and maybe visit a special someone.
DIAZ: Did it just unglue? Wait.
BRITO: What unglued?
DIAZ: One of the things.
BRITO: Next, you’re going to glue on the pieces of paper onto the black or your long strip. You’re going to glue on the smaller pieces onto the bigger piece, like Jocelyn shows. You can draw any image you like. After a bit of problem-solving, we finally finished it, and it was the final product there shown.
CABRERA: Thank you for tuning into our podcast! We hope you guys have a great Valentine’s Day, whether it’s being with your friends or hanging out with your significant other! Bye!
